Creating a BLOG site

 Making your own Blog Sites
You will be creating your own Blog site that showcases your best work that you have created in Art 2.  If you had Art 1 with me and have already created a Blog Site, I want you to continue using that same site.  I have listed in detail exactly what I want in your Blog sites below.  It will look similar to mine, but it will be all yours-like a personal online portfolio of all the wonderful things that you have and will create in ART.  We will take a look at your Blog site for a grade 4 times throughout the school year.
Due by Monday 10/29/12
I will sit down and review these with you on Monday 1 on 1.

1.  You will need to have 3-4 different pages.
        1. Home page-This page should have a picture that describes who you are and
explain what your site is all about
        2. Art 2 page-this will have a picture of each artwork that you have created in Art 2 with a little description of the assignment and what was successful about your artwork-keep it positive.
        3. Art 1 page-this will have everything you had in last years site (if you made one with me last year)
        4. Personal Philosophy/views in Art-here you will write what you think is important when it comes to Art.  I want to hear your voice on your views of what you believe are good qualities in Art.  I want to hear your views and how they will change throughout the school year.  You will be adding to this throughout the school year. (of course having a photo on this page would make it more interesting as well)
You can make this a tips page if you would like-be creative, make it fun.

Georgia O'Keefe Flowers

Get Close and personal with your flower.  We are doing full color range and a close up of a flower.  Good Examples of Georgia O'Keefe's Flower paintings are below.  Stretch your eye to see different colors then what is just there.  Once you find your flower picture you want to draw out, get it approved by Mrs. Schneid first.

Live Assessment-Perspective

For this assessment you will be coming and meeting with Mrs. Schneid personally.  So when you are done with your painting you will bring me your artwork and sit down one on one and we will have a little discussion based on your strengths and weaknesses.  I will be grading you based on how well you use art terms in our conversation explaining your artwork to me based on the questions I ask you.  Be prepared to answer similar questions that you have been asked in previous assessments.

Artworks by Jacob Parker using 2 different mediums.  Watercolor paints above and below Oil Pastels with Terpentine.

Architecture Color Scheme Painting

Our next assignment is going to move us into a new color scheme.  I want you to focus on learning Perspective through Photography.  So I will be teaching you how to draw using perspective, how to take photographs of perspective and how to use different types of color schemes.
