Monochromatic Still Life


 

1.  Choose 3 items from up front.
2.  Draw them clumped together on your page-NOT IN THE CENTER.
3.  Going off  the edge of the paper helps make your composition more interesting. 
4.  Then draw out a line or patterned background.
5.  Then choose 1 color plus Black and White and begin mixing colors to show me TINTS and SHADES of your color throughout your artwork. 
6.  The objects should show smooth value transitions-the backgrounds can show a solid color with different ranges of color throughout.
